Organic Baritone Roast stands up well in our deep roast process. To achieve this roast we use a fully restored direct-fired 1961 Probat drum roaster. These old roasters are coveted and held in the highest esteem by artisan roasters worldwide. This roast style cannot be achieved with new “modern” indirect-fired roaster. Our Organic Baritone Roast starts as a green coffee blend from Sumatra, Nicaragua, Peru and Mexico. This is a dark roast with a low acidity profile yet it has no burned or charred flavors.
